Colorado vacation

Jeremy and I leave for Colorado today. I am going to be attending the American Holistic Nurses Association conference (in Colorado Springs) for 3 days while he visits his cousin's buffalo ranch in Wyoming. On Sunday we will meet up and explore Denver and Boulder before heading home. The American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) is a non-profit membership association for nurses and other holistic healthcare professionals. AHNA promotes the education of nurses, other healthcare professionals, and the public in all aspects of holistic caring and healing. The efforts of AHNA recently resulted in the recognition of holistic nursing as an “official nursing specialty” by the American Nurses Association. I have heard that this conference is fantastic and that the food they serve is amazing (vegetarian) fare! Each day starts with yoga and a gorgeous view of the mountains. The keynote speaker is renowned nurse theorist Jean Watson!! To learn more about her work click HERE Janet Quinn, director of the Touching Body, Tending Soul program, is the other keynote speaker. She is an international consultant in topics of therapeutic touch, healing, nursing as spiritual practice, and creating habitats for healing. I am so excited to learn and meet other holistic nurses!
