Working 12 hour shifts is exhausting but ultimately I love it. I work 3 days a week and have 4 days to play (and study). Sometimes on my days off I literally have to force myself to relax. I feel the need to cram as much in to my day as possible (gym, groceries, cleaning, blogging, yoga, studying, cooking,  laundry etc). I really don't know how to just relax. The truth is I put pressure on myself and feel like a failure if all of that stuff is not accomplished.
On this day off I will enjoy some simple things in life and I will ignore the Hamish hair balls that float down my stairs and weeds that poke their nosy heads up in my garden. Today I will cook dinner for a friend, read a magazine and listen to music that I love.
